The train rolls along past the houses, farms and fields of southern Ohio and northern Kentucky next to the might Ohio River, enroute to its destination of Huntington or selected WV destinations for exciting day trips, overnights or weekend getaways.

The Blue Ridge - Shenandoah Mystery Train (SM) Originates passengers from Washington DC with intermediate passenger boarding from Staunton or Charlottesville or Clifton Forge enroute to its West Virginia destination, providing one-way or round-trip services for exciting day trips, overnights or entire weekend.

Seating Availability and Cost -- Please consult one of or ticket agents for current ticket values and seating availability on your selected rail tour package adventure available for review on our Train Bulletins page. Special group charters and children's rates are available for public and private charters.

Special or Private Charters -- Available year-round on any Sunday, Wednesday or Friday. We provide similar excursions services for groups or individuals 2 to 500 in attendance, based upon available seating and destination services at time of purchase.

West Virginia Boarding Points -- Primary points of departure are located in Huntington, Charleston, Beckley, and White Sulphur Springs, with intermediate stops on demand for various outfitting services.

Where Does the Train Take Us? -- The train travels to and through the "Fabled Grand Canyon of the East", a.k.a. The New River Gorge National River Recreation Area and the newly-created National Coal Heritage Area in Southern West Virginia. Along the mighty Ohio River between Cincinnati or through the BlueRidge-Shenandoah regions of Virginia.

Regional Boarding Points -- The specific destination changes with each scheduled departure, providing a special stop-over point for your special or specific interest(s). We travel to or from Chicago, Cincinnati, Indianapolis or Washington, D.C., as well, with intermediate stops on demand.
